Hastelloy C-276I29305:
1. In the oxidation and reduction state, it has excellent corrosion resistance to most corrosive media.
2. Excellent resistance to pit corrosion, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking.
Metallographic structure of Hastelloy C-276:
C276 is a face-centered cubic lattice structure.
Corrosion resistance of C-276 Hastelloy:
C276 alloy is suitable for chemical process industry with redox and reductive media. Higher molybdenum and chromium content makes the alloy resistant to chloride ion corrosion, and tungsten element further improves its corrosion resistance. C276 is one of the few materials that can resist the corrosion of wet chlorine, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide solution. The alloy has remarkable corrosion resistance to high concentration chloride solution (such as ferric chloride and copper chloride).
Hastelloy C-276 has a wide range of applications:
C276 alloys have been widely used in chemical and petrochemical fields, such as in components and catalytic systems that are exposed to chlorinated organic compounds. This material is especially suitable for use in corrosive environment of inorganic and organic acids (such as formic acid and acetic acid) mixed with impurities at high temperature.
