Corrosion resistance of Incoloy 825:
825 alloy is a general engineering alloy. It has high corrosion resistance to acid and alkali metals in both oxidation and reduction environments. It has effective stress corrosion cracking resistance. Corrosion resistance in various media is very good, such as sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, nitric acid and organic acid, alkali metals such as sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid solution. The higher comprehensive properties of 825 alloy are shown in the Nuclear Combustion dissolver with various corrosive media, such as sulphuric acid, nitric acid and sodium hydroxide, which are all treated in the same equipment.
Incoloy 825 has a wide range of applications:
825 alloy is widely used in various industrial fields where the service temperature is not more than 550 C.
Typical applications of Incoloy 825 are:
1. Heating pipes, containers, baskets and chains for sulphuric acid pickling plants.
2. Seawater cooling heat exchanger, marine product pipeline system and acid gas environment pipeline.
3. Heat exchangers, evaporators, washing and impregnating tubes in phosphoric acid production.
4. Air heat exchanger in petroleum refining
