Nitronic 60 Characteristic:
Compared with cobalt and high nickel alloys, Nitronic 60 stainless steel can achieve corrosion resistance and wear resistance at very low cost. Its overall corrosion resistance is better than that of 304 type in most media. In Nitronic 60, the resistance to chloride pitting is better than that of type 316.
The yield strength at room temperature is almost twice that of 304 and 316.
Nitronic 60 has excellent high temperature oxidation resistance and low temperature impact resistance.
Nitronic 60 application area:
Widely used in power, chemical, petrochemical, food and oil and gas industries, including expansion joint wear-resistant plate, wear-resistant pump ring, bushing, process valve stem, seals and logging equipment.
Inconel 600 合金具有以下特性:
1. It has good corrosion resistance to reducing, oxidizing and nitriding media.
2. It has good stress corrosion cracking resistance at room temperature and high temperature.
3. It has good corrosion resistance to dry chlorine and hydrogen chloride gas.
4. Good mechanical properties at sub-zero, room and high temperatures
5. It has good creep fracture strength and is recommended to be used in working environment above 700 C.
Metallographic structure of Inconel 600::
600 is a face-centered cubic lattice structure.
Corrosion resistance of Inconel 600:
600 alloy has corrosion resistance to all kinds of corrosive media. The composition of chromium makes the alloy have better corrosion resistance than nickel 99.2 (alloy 200) and nickel 99.2 (alloy 201, low carbon) under oxidation conditions. At the same time, high nickel content makes the alloy have good corrosion resistance in reduction conditions and alkaline solution, and can effectively prevent stress corrosion cracking of chlorine-iron. 600 alloy has good corrosion resistance in acetic acid, acetic acid, formic acid, stearic acid and other organic acids, and medium corrosion resistance in inorganic acid. It has excellent corrosion resistance in high purity water for primary and secondary recycling in nuclear reactor. In particular, 600 is able to resist the corrosion of dry chlorine and hydrogen chloride, and its application temperature is 650 C. At high temperatures, the annealed and solution-treated alloys have good anti-oxidation and exfoliation properties and high strength in air. The alloy can also resist ammonia, nitriding and carburizing atmosphere, but when the oxidation-reduction conditions change alternately, the alloy will be corroded by some oxidizing medium (such as green death liquid).
Inconel 600 applications include:
1. Thermocouple bushing in corrosive atmosphere
2. Production of vinyl chloride monomers: resistance to chlorine, hydrogen chloride, oxidation and carbonization corrosion
3. Uranium oxidation to hexafluoride: resistance to hydrogen fluoride corrosion
4. Areas of production and use of corrosive alkali metals, especially in environments where sulphides are used
5. Preparation of titanium dioxide by chlorine
6. Production of organic or inorganic chlorides and fluorides: resistance to chlorine and fluorine corrosion
7. Nuclear Reactors
8. Crankneck bottles and components in heat treatment furnaces, especially in carbonization and nitriding atmosphere
9. In the application of catalytic regenerator in petrochemical production, alloy 600 is recommended to obtain longer service life.
